Cet atlas de la pêcherie palangrière de l'océan Indien a été réalisé dans le cadre du projet IOSSS-ESPADON. Il synthétise d’une part, l'historique depuis les années 1950 de la pêche palangrière de l'océan Indien (effort de pêche et captures d'espadon – Xiphias gladius) et d’autre part, l'évolution depuis 1994 de l'activité de la flottille palangrière réunionnaise (effort de pêche, captures et rendements pour les principales espèces ciblées).
This atlas of the drifting longline fishery of the Indian Ocean was developed thanks to the IOSSS-ESPADON project. It resumes on one hand the history of the drifting longline fishery in the Indian Ocean since 1950 (Fishing effort and catches of swordfish – Xiphias gladius) and in the other hand the evolution of the La Réunion longline fishery since its beginning in 1994 (fishing effort, catches and yield for mains targeted species).
